Frequently asked questions

Some commonly asked questions about me..

Q. Where can I get a copy of your first album, 2002?

A. There are no more CD copies available anymore. However, you can still download the whole album for free at last.fm or archive.org. See here for more information.

Q. I've noticed that some of your tracks in MP3 stores are actually free downloads on some sites.. Why should I pay for stuff I can get for free?

A. If you only want to download Bovaflux tracks which are free (or grab torrents of those which aren't) that's fine with me, but please consider buying a genuine copy if you like what you hear. Making music, hosting the site, etc, all costs money, so anything you give back helps. If you feel silly buying MP3 that you already got a copy of, then why not treat yourself to some lovely Bovaflux merchandise?

Q. Do you do music fulltime?

A. Unfortunatey no, I don't make anywhere near enough money to live off, so I have a proper job too. See here for more.

Q. Where are you from?

A. I'm from Leicester, UK. I lived in Liverpool for a while, and Leamington Spa for a many years, and since November 2007 I live in Frankfurt, Germany. I'm not from Manchester or London, despite what a few random things on the web say. (Not that I have anything against those places, I'm just not from there!)

Q. Can you send me some free music for my radio show?

A. No, you're better off contacting the labels directly.

Q. Will you do a remix for me?

A. Maybe, but be warned that I can take a while.

Q. Can I use your music in my video or some other project?

A. If it's for non-commercial use, yes. It'd be nice if you get in touch to let us know about it.

Q. Why haven't you played live for so long?

A. I'm not actively looking for gigs at the minute, as I'm more interested in writing new material. If you would like to book me for a show, please get in touch. I expect as a minimum to have somewhere decent to sleep, have some refreshments available, and to get paid enough to cover travel expenses. Yeah, it sounds a bit silly to have to say it, but some promoters need reminding.
